Dear Sylvia / Wilac

I recently came accross this invaluable web site while surfing the web, and like a magnet , the work that you are all doing spontaneously attracted a great deal of attention from me. For some background, I am a Wireless - Broadband Telecom Consultant originally from Africa and now living in the United States of America. I have spent the past 16 years designing, implimenting and optimizing wireless networks for various carriers accross the world, including GSM, CDMA, UMTS, EVDO and WiMAX. I see this as an opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the telecom industry, which in this case will benefits the developing world, particurlarly the continent of Africa. Understanding that several versions of the book are soon to come, I am hereby volunteering to offer my help in making some contributions in the final stage of the French Translation of "Wireless Networking In The Developing World". I am fluent both in French and English.

Translation progress at July 13th 2006.

All the chapters and appendices has been translated by Alexandra Dans (who also translate the Spanish book). The chapters were distributed among a group of volunteers for review. Unfortunately this process has been too long. We are now in the process of receive the reviewed chapters and sent them to Ian Howard, the lead French editor for approval. Only the introduction, chapter 1 and 2 are ready to be print. More soon. Sylvia Cadena / WiLAC. Spanish and French Translation coordinator.
