Translation German

I don't know if this is much use to you, as I guess German might not be the main target language as mostly spoken in developed countries. Nevertheless it might be useful if the guys, who are into 3rd world aid projects but not that much into technical English, read this book, too, even when from DE/AT/CH. So I just sat down and started to translate the current print edition of wndw. I don't know how far this will get us, as I am writing exams right now and can (and will) do this just for leisure. So I guess, it would be great if some other native speakers could join this effort. If, in contrary, you think this effort is useless and you want to get it done fast and professionally, just tell me, so I don't do this in vain. I will post this onto the mailinglist, too, so you can easily contact me. I'll post the text as rtf, too. I just finished the preface, I'll post it below, without much formatting done (Comments, feedback, improvement appreciated!): June,22th 2006: I could not spend much time on the translation in the last 2 months, so I am still stuck in the third chapter (just in case anyone might want to continue: do not start before chapter 4 and give notice here!). --TiL

Ich habe mal ein paar Unterseiten angelegt, damit die übersetzten Teile ins Wiki integriert werden können. TiL ist eventuell so freundlich und platziert seine übersetzten Kapitel auch ins Wiki, denn so bekämen die Menschen aus den deutschsprachigen Regionen der Welt eine ersten Einblick in dieses Buch. -- FabianAffolter 2006-09-06
